It started from a young boy’s dream, Kyle Andrews, for other children to experience the relief and happiness he felt coming home to Broome, when he was not receiving treatment for cancer in Perth, WA.
He wanted to share this happiness with his friends he made while in hospital.
‘So they might feel better’ is the essence of the Kyle Andrews Foundation.
Our charitable foundation, run by volunteers, continues Kyle’s legacy and wish, to create happiness and joy. To make children’s lives who are experiencing serious illness, and their families, a little more memorable and fun during difficult times.
We do this by providing experiences, support, and accommodation.
We rely on donations and funds raised through our events to be able to continue to deliver our services. Proudly nearly 100 per cent of the funds raised and donated go towards supporting children with cancer and their families, and Northwest families who need accommodation in Perth whilst undergoing treatment.
We bring approximately 15 children undergoing treatment from Perth Children’s Hospital, to Broome on an annual basis, for a much-needed, week long, break from difficult therapy.
